Control Room Officer

What does the job look like?
As a Control Room Officer, you will perform essential safety, compliance, emergency response and freight planning tasks for our Resources & Industrial West transport operation. This full-time role provides coverage across day shift, weekend availability is required. Key areas:
- Participate and commit to Safety Standards and Chain of Responsibility requirements at all times
- Freight planning, including coordination, planning and execution of urgent freight orders
- Monitor and report on driver fatigue and welfare using fleet monitoring systems
- Driver incident and breakdown coordination and response
- Completion of accurate data entry, reports and record-keeping in a variety of systems including SAP TM, Excel and SharePoint
- Assist with ad-hoc transport administration duties as required

To be successful in this role, you must be a quick learner who thrives when working under pressure and positively contributes to our high performing team. You are solutions and customer-focused, maintaining positive relations with both internal and external customers. You can demonstrate:
- A commitment to safety in everything you do
- Previous exposure to mining/ resource or transport/ logistics industries
- Experience conducting similar tasks, OHS support role desirable
- The ability to work autonomously
- Excellent people and negotiations skills
- A clear communicator, both written and verbal
- Intermediate computer skills, SAP TM desirable
