One Platform Operations is delivering support with teams across the world.To enable and foster the value of the One Platform, it requires new ways of working for many parts of the current IT organization. One Platform acting as a Service Broker (create/maintain and publish reusable certified deployment packages that align with security, compliance and service management policies). For this reason, we need new modern skillsets, to run and grow the maturity of the organization and dealing with the fast demand of our business. So, we are on a journey to become the Cloud Center of Excellence to enable the KPMG global business to grow fast with new technology from the One Platform.Job DescriptionThe Azure Site Reliability Engineer is primarily focused on Operational support by embedding Site Reliability Engineering processes in KPMG's Global Azure infrastructure.The ideal candidate is well-rounded in Azure IaaS and PaaS offerings and will form part of the team that owns the KPMG Azure Operational stack for One Platform. You will work with other teams and vendors to enhance and improve our Operations environment. You must have a strong background in automation with PowerShell. Agile experience preferred.Strong Azure IaaS and PaaS (should possess at least AZ-104 or AZ-204 certification or equivalent knowledge)Strong Troubleshooting experienceAwareness of Change Management governanceMust possess a solid understanding of Windows OSStrong scripting capability in PowerShellGood Azure DevOps knowledge (+3 yrs): CI/CD Pipelines, Git, Repositories, Boards, YAMLGood understanding of Site Reliability Engineering Principals: , Monitoring, Observability, Release Automation, Eliminate Toil.Nice to have - familiarity with Infrastructure as Code ( Terraform, PowerShell Desired State - DSC)Nice to have - experience with Agile way of workingHow are you extraordinary?You are a teambuilder who does your best work with a diverse and multidisciplinary team around you to collaborate, share ideas, and learn together.You get excited about generating innovative ideas that create value, improve processes, and solve complex problems.You are a strategic critical thinker, and love using that skill to solve complex problems and plan for the future.QualificationsBachelor degree from an accredited university in in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent experience in the related disciplineMicrosoft Azure AZ-104 certification minimumHigh degree of credibility and acumen in respect of security and data integrityExcellent communication skills in English, verbally and in writing to all levels of the organizationExperience/Knowledge:Minimum of 5+ years of recent experience building and supporting IaaS and PaaS solutions in an Azure cloud environmentFamiliarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Boards, and RepositoriesGood understanding of Site Reliability Engineering Principals: , Monitoring, Observability, Release Automation, Eliminate ToilSolid scripting experience PowerShellHands-on experience drawing detailed technical diagrams and authoring technical documentationA pro-active nature and an overall high level of creativity, plus a problem-solving mentalityAbility to analyze situations rigorously, logically, and systematicallyAbility to thrive in a high-pressure business critical operational environmentAbility to work with people from many different cultural backgroundsAdditional InformationKPMG is a professional services firm with global outreach and deep sector experience.
