Senior Aftermarket/OEM Automotive Project Engineer - $100-130k + Super

  • Salary $100-130k + Super
  • Permanent Position
  • 38hr weeks
  • Monday to Friday
  • Based in Notting Hill

Engineering People are looking for a Senior Engineer for a position amongst a great experienced team. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years experience and a passion for fabrication and cars at home. Someone who can bring a spark to the business and show initiative when it comes to presenting their ideas.
Are you someone who loves to communicate with customers and engineers, is good at giving and taking briefs but your heart lies at home where you weld and fabricate in your own time? Do you have a passion for engineering and knowledge of CAD software? Are you able to use Powerpoint or other means to present and communicate ideas?
About the role and you:
Main Duties

  • Meetings with key clients (ie, presenting ideas, taking job briefs, keeping them updated etc. )
  • Research and Development
  • Design reviews
  • Documentation (ie. fitting instructions and work instructions)

Knowledge

  • Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Understanding of Engineering Drawings
  • Understanding of Welding (Steel, Aluminium, Stainless Steel / TIG / MIG Etc.)
  • Experience designing a part from concept to development

Skills

  • Sheet Metal Fabrication
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Word + Powerpoint)
  • CAD (UG or CATIA) Experience (Preferred)
  • Plastic Part Design
