Finance Business Partner

The Finance Business Partner is tasked with providing proactive and pre-emptive accounting advisory and support services to clients within a business partnering model. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, the finance department they oversee complex financial transactions, resolve accounting issues, and manage budgets and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Maximizing research funding, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
- Leadership of team members, relationship building, and continuous improvement of accounting practices.
- Undertaking budget/forecast and management reporting responsibilities
- Funding proposals, budget analysis, preparing and presenting briefs and reports.
- Planning management and effective implementation of continuous improvement activities relating to protocols, quality assurance standards and R&R practices.
To be considered you must have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance with substantial experience in a similar Finance Business Partner role.
- Membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA) or Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Australia.
- Extensive Finance Business Partnering-related experience, strong communication and leadership skills, commercial acumen, analytical abilities, and proficiency in financial management systems.
- Demonstrated experience in research, analytical and conceptual problem solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills- preferably to non-finance stakeholders- required
- Strong leadership skills, ability to coach a team and develop and plan work to meet objectives
- Proficiency in financial accounting software preferably SAP, Microsoft Office, and database systems.
- Big4 or professional services experience, mid tier, commercial or public practice experience- required
- Strong financial analysis skills to be able to provide insights with forecasting, strong excel skills.
- Positive attitude and keenness to learn, and experience with a fast paced work environment.
