We are seeking a highly qualified individual with a strong background in counselling to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in scholarly teaching, online and intensive curriculum design. Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential, with eligibility for ACA and/or PACFA registration and psychology or counselling registration being a significant advantage. A budding reputation in research and scholarship is desirable.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Contributing to the development of course material for new online and face-to-face counselling units Teaching in counselling and psychology in general but with a particular focus on counselling at the postgraduate level that is consistent with the University’s principles of teaching, learning and the student experience. Developing online learning environments that are flexible, student centred and accessible and utilising appropriate technology. Undertaking appropriate administrative unit tasks, such as providing unit guides and finalising grades. Maintaining deep discipline knowledge which informs unit design and delivery. Delivering learner-centric, research-informed teaching across different levels / modes of delivery.

Key selection criteria for this role:

PhD in a relevant discipline and/or a Masters in Counselling and/or other relevant qualifications and experience Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs in the area of counselling, including innovative curriculum design Experience designing and implementing curricula in online learning contexts, including the use of online educational technologies. Experience designing and implementing curricula in intensive contexts. Experience developing counselling content, including whole units.
