About You

The successful candidate will have: 

  • CPA or CA qualification
  • 6+ years of strong public practice experience
  • Experience with Xero, Xero Practice Manager, and Practice Ignition software
  • Advanced knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Business acumen - demonstrated business experience and exceptional interpersonal skills

You will also have:

  • A proven track record in managing staff and driving team performance
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a close-knit team environment
  • Excellent English communication skills

About The Opportunity

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering top-notch accounting and taxation services to clients. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop financial strategies for client wealth creation and protection
  • Prepare and manage accounts, income tax returns, and BAS returns
  • Perform trust and company establishments and manage registrations
  • Support outsourced service providers with SMSF accounts and audits
  • Assist with new business development and client educational initiatives
  • Work with the Principal to manage workload scheduling and client interactions
  • Provide virtual CFO services and deliver written advice under Australian tax law
  • Preparation of budget forecasts and cash flow for clients along with in-depth analysis of management reports
  • Manage and administer a portfolio of clients. Providing technical support, feedback and guidance to team members assisting with your clients
  • Support the Principal in providing international written advice to clients utilizing the OECD model convention and Australian residency-based provisions of the tax act
