Job Description
About the Role
Coronado Global Resources are seeking a Production Offier to support the Mining Supervisor at our Curragh mine site. In this role, you will monitor operating techniques and productivity, team member development, performance management and leave management for the shift as well as ensuring that your team are aware of their obligations and the required standards to allow the operation to be safe, productive and compliant.
This key role will see you:
- Supporting the Mining Supervisor with effective leadership and coaching of crews to ensure that the Production Plans are implemented and monitored in accordance with Curragh mine policy and procedures
- Offer advice and guidance to the Mining Supervisor on achieving production targets
- Ensure a safe and healthy working environment through compliance to the SHMS and other relevant requirements
- Oversee and ensure the operation's impact on the environment is managed in accordance with the Curragh EMS.
- Support the Mining Supervisor in supervising all activities in your mining area of responsibility to ensure the required coal production is achieved at the lowest possible sustainable cost.
- Support and collaborate with other departments where required to ensure Curragh's overall objectives are achieved.
- Proactively build and maintain positive working relationships through teamwork and mutual respect.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Previous coal mining step-up supervisor experience on site (Dragline Operations)
- Strong Leadership skills
- Supervisor S1, S2, S3 & G2
- Be able to DIDO or Relocate to the Blackwater Region
