Job Description

Our sites have Food Safety Systems Certification FSSC 22000 V 6. The Lead QA Manager will be responsible for maintaining and improving the appropriate quality systems throughout the sites, including the technical functions. 

This role is critical to ensuring the appropriate compliance and governance is in place ensuring the delivery of high quality, "on spec" recycled resin is produced for the manufacturing of food grade packaging by our client partners.

About this opportunity

Leading the combined efforts of our on site Quality Team this is a highly collaborative requiring the ability to maintain the appropriate and consistent checks and balances, instilling trust in our customer relationships through consistent and robust structure, communication and delivery to contracts.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

Provide leadership on all aspects of the quality management systems on the site, in particular, FSSC 22000 v5.1 for food contact products. Maintain, Review and Improve the Quality Assurance Systems, including FSSC 22000 V 5.1 for food-contact products, and additional 3rd party system certification requirements.  Participation in the testing of raw materials and finish product, and ensuring equipment is working effectively to analyse and complete testing. Work with the Site Leadership team, and JV partners to maintain and implement quality systems’ improvements and new processes to achieve the agreed QAS certification/s. Manage Quality Assurance testing for timely completion, recording and feedback to appropriate personnel across the facility and remote stakeholders. Manage all Quality Assurance Communications from external and internal (customers and suppliers) for timely acknowledgement, investigation, correction, and feedback to appropriate personnel across the facility and remote stakeholders for Complaints and Non-conformances. Initiate and conduct regular Quality meetings. Lead and manage all site quality audits (internal and external) for FSSC, Customer Food Safety and Quality requirements and other 3rd Party certifications. Support the Site Manager to build and maintain strong personal relationships with key client stakeholders, ensuring contractual compliance in service delivery to retain and grow. Promote a culture of zero harm including an unrelenting focus on continually improving our safety culture. Management of the technical support team providing hands on support where required. The position will have one direct report.

About You: ·

5+ years in a similar Quality leadership role Sound Experience in Global & interdepartmental planning & execution of strategy. Board, partner and external stakeholder engagement & reporting experience. Track record in successful set-up of Quality systems such as FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 Previous Experience in a quality role in a food-plastics or food company. Additional experience in a technical or operational role/s in the food-plastics or food industry will be highly regarded  A personable leader, with the ability to communicate and connect across all levels Experienced in driving cost improvement strategy in an industrial, low margin, high volume business or business unit.  Knowledge of Opex and Capital budget responsibilities related to Quality Agenda Experience interfacing with customers, suppliers, System certifiers/Auditors Led significant value creation projects for the division  Experience with multi-site industrial companies Australia / New Zealand experience
