Our client is a leading Australian alternative real estate investment manager with approximately AU$5bn in committed capital. They are looking for a talented Associate and Associate Director to join their Deal Execution team.

The roles sit as part of the Opportunistic fund investment team. This team invests across the capital stack in alternative real estate asset classes. Deals will focus on situational real estate investing, including development joint ventures, recapitalisations and structured, preferred equity investments predominantly in the residential, commercial and retail sectors.

We are seeking candidates with previous experience in Real Estate investing. Candidates should have experience with analysis and due diligence deal process for buying retail assets as well as portfolio management. Our client has a strong desire for candidates to come with some experience in build to sell residential, working development feasibilities, reviewing debt and construction tenders and implementing a business plan for investment management purposes. It is likely the candidate will have 4 – 8 years’ experience in Real Estate. We will consider candidates from capital transactions teams, real estate acquisition or investment banking who are looking to transition into investing.

This is a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, so candidates must have a can-do attitude and be willing to be put in the deep end for personal and professional growth.
