About the Opportunity

We have a part time opportunity of 2 days per week as a Senior Project Officer within the Improvement and Sustainability Unit, part of the Finance Directorate. The Improvement and Sustainability Unit supports the management and delivery of programs and projects within WCHN that require co-ordination, sequencing and implementation.

In this role you will be assisting in the scoping, costing, planning, implementation, delivery, closure and evaluation of a range of complex projects and initiatives that contribute to priority service redesign, efficiency and improvement strategies across WCHN.

You will be working collaboratively and proactively with Divisions, project sponsors and managers, and other key stakeholders to develop, coordinate and implement project plans and strategies which ensure contemporary and operationally efficient outcomes.

You will be required to undertake critical analysis of data and information to support evidence-based decision-making and leading assurance and review activities to ensure ongoing project improvements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • demonstrated experience in project/program design and management techniques, methodologies and related activities including the preparation, implementation and evaluation of projects and strategies dealing with complex issues, including sensitive matters.
  • Experience in organising, managing and leading complex change projects involving multiple stakeholders from a variety of professions/occupations and levels of seniority.
  • Extensive experience in establishing and maintaining strong working relationships and working cooperatively and constructively with senior staff, stakeholders and project teams to achieve objectives
  • Demonstrated experience in performance monitoring and utilising high level conceptual and analytical skills.
