This organisation requires an experienced Electronics Design Engineer, preferably with a depth of experience in PCB and schematic design, to join the Engineering team on a full time basis.

As an Electronics Design Engineer you will be working on the development of new bespoke PCB and microelectronic products for the Consumer, Automotive, Medical and Defence markets where bespoke electronics are a key component.

The primary functions of this position will involve:-

  • Research, design and development of new products
  • Assist with ongoing product support of designs in production
  • Writing and preparation of engineering documentation for New Product Development process
  • Design and development of PCB assemblies using Altium Designer
  • Writing of embedded firmware
  • Preparation of design proposal documentation for costing and quotation
  • Write test specifications and conduct tests and quality assurance checks to validate completed projects
  • Work autonomously with minimal supervision in a team based, results focused environment

The following criteria will apply: 

  • Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a similar role
  • Experience in circuit design and applications, related to analogue and digital techniques.
  • Competence with desktop and design IT and design CAD tools, specifically Altium Designer.
  • Able to prepare concise and accurate reports and documentation describing design tasks and outcomes.
  • Embedded firmware experience i.e. C, C++, Python or similar
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
