About the role:
In this role you will:
Work on a large range of plant / equipment Support breakdowns / shift work Support shutdowns (Step up into supervisor or co-ordinator) role Undertake tasks with the view of long term repairs and meeting a high standard of quality of workmanship Ensure that maintenance work complies with statutory and AS/NZ standards and requirements, using OEM manuals and the support of peers and engineers Perform fault diagnosis, maintenance and servicing work safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturers' instructions Read and extract information from engineering drawings, specification diagrams and maintenance manuals Prepare the work area for maintenance of plants, systems or components Use site systems and the SAP system to ensure all maintenance documentation is completed and archived in accordance with site procedures Work within the on-demand system to respond flexibly to changing priorities Ensure that contractors are inducted/supervised during service visits where necessary prior to accessing facilitiesAbout you:
Relevant Mechanical trade qualification Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment A strong focus on safety and compliance Good problem-solving skills Self-starter with the ability to work well in a team environment Ability to manage execution of projects Availability and flexibility to work overtime when reasonably required Ability to remain calm in high pressure situations Can work effectively under tight deadlinesWhy work for Cement Australia?
