About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join the team on a Part-Time basis, Wednesday to Friday, 9am to 2pm until April 2025 with the potential for extension. You will be instrumental in shaping the early educational experiences of young learners with additional needs, working closely with our Early Childhood Teacher to nurture children’s social, emotional, and intellectual growth in an inclusive, play-based environment.

Equally important, you’ll become part of a close-knit team that supports each other, learns from each other, and loves coming to work.

What You’ll Do

  • Craft and deliver fun, age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote learning and development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and engagement.
  • Develop strong relationships with children and their families to support their educational journey.
  • Collaborate with a team of educators to plan and coordinate lessons and activities.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom.

What We’re Looking For

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or an ACECQA approved equivalent)
  • Relevant experience working in a kindergarten or early childhood setting.
  • Experience working with children who have additional needs highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of child development and early learning principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

In addition, preferred candidates will need to provide the following:

  • Valid WA Working with Children’s Check or be willing to obtain
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance obtained within the last 6 months

As part of our commitment to being a Child Safe organisation, successful candidates are required to provide their Immunisation History Statement. While immunisations are highly encouraged, they are not mandatory. This information will help us assess and implement appropriate safety measures for everyone.
