Nursing Team Leader

We are a multidisciplinary practice, home to 60 practitioners, 20 of which are board registered specialists in the fields of oral surgery, endodontics, orthodontics, periodontics and prosthodontics. Our nursing department is made up of experienced and junior dental nurses who are all committed to the day to day running of our practice.
Within our orthodontic practice, Collins Street Orthodontics, we focus on providing the highest quality of service and care. Our team is knowledgeable and caring, and patient care remains a constant priority.
The opportunity:
An exciting opportunity is available to join our successful orthodontic team and lead our nurses as the Nursing Team Leader on a full-time basis at our beautiful practice located in the Manchester Unity Building. Reporting to the Nursing Manager and working alongside a brilliant team of senior nursing leaders you will be immersed in a thriving environment that will support you in growing both personally and professionally.
The duties include:
- Working as part of the Nursing leadership team and alongside the Orthodontic General Manager to build and support the day-to-day operations of our business.
- Supervising, training and supporting the orthodontic nursing team on a day-to-day basis.
- Coordination and management of duties such as rostering, ordering and supporting and contributing to the management of clinical escalations.
- Chair side assisting within the orthodontic department.
- Managing and maintaining infection control standards to a high standard.
- Supervising and maintaining adherence to sterilisation procedures and room changeovers.
What you need for this role:
- Extensive experience in orthodontics.
- General Dental experience is seen as favorable but not essential.
- A natural ability to lead and support people.
- Good infection control.
- Knowledge of D4W and/or Orthotrac preferred but not essential.
- A high level of initiative and motivation.
- A drive to learn and flourish.
- The ability to integrate into a large practice and work with multiple practitioners.
