About the opportunity 

We are currently seeking a reliable Laundry Assistant to join our Accommodation Service team at our Moran Kellyville home

Available shifts:  Tuesday to Friday 09:00am - 16:00pm. Saturday - 07:00 am - 15:00 pm.

This role will assist the facility in maintaining the highest possible standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the residence with a strong focus on minimising health risks and maximising safety. 

We provide a supportive and enjoyable work environment, with modern facilities and the equipment and resources needed to do excel in your role. Education specific to aged care is provided.

You will be supported and mentored to ensure you thrive in your role with us. You will work with a great team of dedicated people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents’ enjoyment of their life every day.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all laundry requirements are met each shift
  • Clean allocated area that includes bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas 
  • Follow cleaning schedule and complete records 
  • Replenish supplies and set up cleaning trolleys  
  • Understand and provide Infection Prevention & Control
  • Always interact with the residents in friendly, helpful and positive manner
  • Ensure the home is clean to high standards
  • Meet safety, quality, and hygiene standards 

Skills/Requirements:

  • Commitment to providing a high standard of care and service 
  • Ability to work in a team and be supportive of your colleagues 
  • Valid working visa 
  • Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain) 
  • Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination including booster 
  • Highly organised with strong planning skills.
