Head of Talent – Operations and Programmes

About the role
As the Head of Talent, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s People, Safety, Sustainability and Risk Group.
You will lead the strategic direction and implementation of many of Talent’s operational procedures, managing a team to attract, recruit and retain top talent. This role involves providing mentorship, driving organizational growth, and supporting managers in aligning with V/Line’s values and objectives.
As one of two new Heads of Talent, this position will focus primarily on the operational and volume portfolios within V/Line.
Key Accountabilities include:
Strategic Development: Collaborate on and develop V/Line’s Talent Acquisition Strategy. Team Leadership: Lead and develop the Talent Acquisition team, driving capability uplift and spearheading transformational initiatives to enhance team performance Process Improvement: Strengthen and develop strategic processes to manage high volumes of recruitment activity. Project Leadership: Lead Talent -related projects across the business, including Talent technology uplift Framework Development: Lead and develop frameworks, tools, and processes supporting Talent Acquisition efforts, ensuring compliance with Victorian Public Sector standards.About you

Digitally savvy, with experience in implementing recruitment technology Proven experience in leading a team through transformation and capability uplift Continuous improvement mindset, with a track record of enhancing processes and procedures Experience working in large, complex organisation, managing high-volume recruitment bound by Enterprise Agreements Background in developing Early Career Recruitment Programs Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.In addition to free myki travel , we offer:
