Commercial Credit Analyst

A well respected company who has their own finance department is seeking a bright experienced Credit Analyst to join their team.

Here’s a great opportunity to work for a company leader, using your previous experience as a credit analyst. The right person will have previous experience in the Commercial sector and will preferably come from the auto industry finance lenders.

Responsibilities 

• Evaluate the creditworthiness of commercial clients by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to determine the risk of extending credit.
• Monitor and manage the existing portfolio of commercial accounts, identifying potential credit issues, and taking proactive measures to mitigate risks.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis to understand the client’s financial health, industry position, and potential impact on credit exposure.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, providing support and advice on credit-related matters.
• Prepare credit submissions outlining risks, mitigating factors and recommendations including out-of-cycle credit submissions that include structural amendments or facility changes 
• Complete credit assessment to ensure renewal of facilities are completed ahead of expiration 
• Negotiate with dealers, distributors and financiers regarding security position 

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role with commercial credit
• Degree qualification in banking, finance or equivalent. 
• High attention to detail 
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical mindset 
• Understands relevant compliance obligations including NCCP, ASIC and ACL.
