Senior Instrumentation and Electrical Designer
Are you ready to advance your career? We’re seeking a skilled Lead Instrumentation and Electrical Designer to create high-quality electrical, instrumentation, and control drawings. In this role, you’ll also support and guide CAD operators and drafters, ensuring excellence in design standards and tool administration.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Drawing Creation: Develop and update Single Line Diagrams, Schematics, P&ID’s, and Panel Arrangements.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site visits to gather data and verify existing drawings.
  • Support and Maintenance: Maintain AutoCAD infrastructure and design tool processes.
  • Training and Audits: Train new team members on design procedures, conducting regular audits.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, budget-compliant project completion.
  • Compliance: Ensure design consistency in line with relevant Australian Standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) or a relevant electrical trade qualification.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in Electrical/Instrumentation/Control Design.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) and knowledge of design tools like AVEVA Instrumentation.
  • Communication: Strong verbal skills for effective client and team interactions.
  • Attention to Detail: Quality-focused with knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
  • Leadership: Experience overseeing and reviewing design work of direct reports.
