We are looking for Diesel Motor Mechanics.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role, you are responsible for maintaining, testing, and repairing engines and the mechanical parts of motor vehicles such as transmission, suspension, steering and brakes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Building and assembling machines or mechanical components according to requirements

• Inspecting machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.

• Conducting repairs aiming for maximum reliability

• Performing thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems

• Replenishing fluids and components of engines and machinery

• Providing consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users

• Keeping logs of work and report on issues

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Experienced in maintenance planning and preventative maintenance associated with mining and heavy mobile

equipment

• Knowledge of best site practices and safety procedures.

• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work in a team and independently.

• Strong commitment to safety principals.

• Detail oriented, able to work and make critical decisions under pressure.

• Being physically fit to perform heavy tasks.

Location: Roxby Down, SA

Salary: $41 AUD per hour
