ACM Healthcare is working on behalf of an allied health practice that provides disability and community supports and an extensive range of clinical therapies. They are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join their multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality therapy and supports for clients within Wollongong and the Illawarra.

About the Role:

Psychologists are expected to apply their specialist knowledge and theory derived from research to assist a wide array of individuals and their families with emotional, mental, physiological, or behavioural issues. You will also be expected to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement therapy plans and individual/group programs for clients based in their Wollongong practice, home, community settings or schools. The aforementioned practices are to be undertaken within an individual’s area and level of expertise although experience counselling children and/or adults in preferred.

• Provide high quality services to clients referred from all the allocated referral streams
• Assist participants in addressing underlying causes of behaviours of concern or challenging behaviours in a way that reduces the occurrence and impact of these on their life
• Provide high quality communication to clients, their families, primary carers, health professionals and other providers
• Contribute to service level activities as they relate to clinical work
• Prepare reports for clients and funding bodies as directed and supervised

Criteria:

• Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)   

Applicants must also possess, or be willing to obtain, the following checks prior to employment: 

• Working With Children Check (WWCC) 
• NDIS Worker’s Check (NDISWC) 
• Police Check
