Role Overview:

The Employment Consultant will work within a team of experienced professionals in our Illawarra Region assisting individuals with disability through tailored support services to secure long-term employment opportunities. We pride ourselves on personalised, one-on-one engagements with clients, providing a person-centred approach to help them find meaningful employment in an ever-changing job market.

The Role:

Through career guidance, skills assessments, and connecting clients with employment opportunities, you will also:

  • Motivate and engage participants in their employment journey.
  • Establish relationships with local employers to identify job prospects.
  • Place participants into sustainable employment with positive outcomes.
  • Ensure proper documentation and recording of all activities, adhering to compliance and contractual requirements.
  • Delivering exceptional service at every stage of the process to clients, employers, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic, goal-orientated team of employment services professionals from diverse backgrounds, you will contribute to making an impact in the diversity and inclusion space.

About You:

  • Experience in employment services, driving and delivering outcomes for people with a disability
  • A natural communication style with attentive listening skills
  • Energised by supporting people to achieve their goals.
  • Working collaboratively within a diverse team.
  • High level of interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Goal-focused and able to seek solutions
  • Awareness of the vulnerabilities during job searching and the effects of unemployment.

The base salary for the role is between $73,000 and $79,000 (plus superannuation) dependant upon relevant experience and qualifications.
