About the Role

The main purpose of this role would be to aid the project managers and engineers with a variety of design tasks on projects.

Objectives:

-Supporting project teams with analysis, design, and reporting tasks.

-Developing and maintaining competencies consistent with the practice of a professional engineer.

-Ensuring that all work is undertaken in accordance with the appropriate legislation, corporate requirements, and systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical reporting.
  • Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and actively participating in interdisciplinary workshops as required.
  • Liaison with Consultants and Contractors as required to manage projects.
  • Assisting with marketing and promotion of BG&E including submission of proposals.
  • Preparation of construction documentation and specifications.
  • Construction support including response to RFIs and attending meetings.
  • Writing proposals and reports.
  • Directly contacting clients.
  • Visiting sites for inspections.
  • Scoping of projects.
  • Project Engineering and Project Management activities.
  • Buildings based project work.

About You

To succeed in this position, you'll bring experience such as:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the MS Office suite of tools is essential.
  • A strong desire to learn and solve problems in a team context.
  • The ability to multi-task and self-prioritize workload.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
