Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has risen for a passionate Draftsperson to join our Energy Solutions team. Based in Altona, Vic you will play a key role in the design and delivery of Power Generators and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) projects while working in collaboration with our sales team

Energy Solutions supply generator sets for continuous power, prime power, emergency standby power, and mobile applications, as well as efficiency-optimising solutions integrating cogeneration systems, and battery energy storage systems

In this role you will:

  • Design, detail and specify products or systems including installation and integration appropriate to power generation and BESS
  • Assist with technical documentation and specifications, including detailed design drawing and interpret sketches and notes into detailed technical drawings
  • Investigate and analyse data including customer requirements, specifications, and expectations to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Work with the sales team to support correct selection, application and installation of product in tenders
  • Review supplier and subcontractors submissions/quotations to ensure specification compliance
  • Maintain internal relationships with sales/projects & engineering teams through effective communication

About you:

  • Appropriate Bachelor's in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit etc
  • A background in Steel manufacturing or Oil & Gas will be beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail, ensure accuracy and understanding of mechanical principles
  • Ability to apply appropriate problem-solving techniques to technical, application and other related issues
  • Excellent written & verbal communication and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to meet project timelines, deadlines and manage time effectively
