About the role and you:

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract, working part time 3 days per week. The role of HR Industrial Relations Advisor (Melbourne) will report directly to the General Manager – People & Culture and will partner with our Rainmaker (Live TV production), Radio and Ballpark (Events) divisions as well as the Wildcats basketball team, to ensure correct interpretation and application of the relevant employment instruments, support the implementation and change management of IR reforms and update policies and processes accordingly.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in an industrial relations role, ideally in the sporting or media industry.

The ideal candidate we are looking for will:

  • Have relevant qualifications in Human Resources or related fields
  • Have extensive experience in workplace relations and be able to provide technical IR advice across the employee lifecycle
  • Be capable of providing best practice advice to managers on a broad range of IR subjects
  • Have experience in case management and workplace relations and Fair Work Commission and FWO processes
  • Have strong people and culture partnering experience
  • Be capable of interpreting and providing advice on EBA’s and Awards
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Have a strong work ethic and collaborative work approach
  • Have good time management skills, be highly organised and results driven
