About the role

Roy Hill is on the lookout for a dynamic and skilled Technology Contracts Category Lead to become an integral part of our Procurement and Supply team. In this role, you will take a hands-on approach to developing and delivering technology contract packages and contracting strategies focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for our business.

Duties:

  • Lead the management of contracts, focusing on standardisation and the monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Utilise sound commercial judgment in applying contractual terms and conditions
  • Offer commercial and contractual support across the business, ensuring value delivery through competitive sourcing and effective contract management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, establishing yourself as a trusted contract expert, adept in commercial support, vendor negotiations, and ongoing contract management
  • Oversee Supplier Relationship Management, collaborating closely with project teams and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Provide comprehensive contract life-cycle support, encompassing all contractual and commercial activities, and develop well-defined category strategies

Skills and experience

  • Experience in technology contracts and / or category management mandatory – mining and metals industry experience preferred
  • Specific experience developing sourcing strategies, RFx’s and negotiating contracts for a variety of software, hardware, technology infrastructure and technology services in both Information Technology and Operational Technology domains
  • Experience in cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Open Source, and mining autonomy commercial relationships would be beneficial
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and managing technology category strategies in partnership with the technology function
  • Strong computer literacy and written skills (e.g. drafting concise award recommendations, drafting contract conditions, drafting contract correspondence and variations)
