Bundaberg Central, Australia Bundaberg Sugar Ltd Full time

Position objective:

Communicate and cooperate with other personnel to ensure factory production targets are met. Proactively participate in the maintenance team during the non-crush and as part of the shift team during crushing operations.

Reports to:Millaquin Mill Electrical Supervisor or nominee

Key responsibilities, not limited to:

oBe a member of the Emergency Response Team and attend training as required

oCarry out mill plant maintenance and capital works as directed which pertains to skills held. Plant items include mills, wiring, circuitry, PLC's, Instrumentation, Control Valves, mills, turbines, fugals, conveyors, carriers, pumps, fans, gearboxes, motors, vessels etc.

oMay be required to participate in Regional Unit Maintenance Teams

oOperate within a Computerised Maintenance Management System for all work undertaken

oWork in conjunction with parameters set by established condition monitoring techniques

oIn relevant areas coach and assist other personnel within their roles

oSupply advice within competencies and skills regarding maintenance and related matters to contribute to safe and efficient operations

oAssist other personnel to establish appropriate programs and planning to ensure the availability of plant and equipment

oAssist with initiating and developing projects to enhance the availability and efficiency of Sugar Mill plant and equipment

oCompletion of logs, risk assessments, permits, assessments and other administrative duties related to the role

oWork effectively with the team to ensure that food safety and quality of the products is maintained in compliance with food safety standards

oActively participate in the development and implementation of Company safety initiatives and objectives

oComply with statutory requirements and company policies, rules and procedures including those relating to WHS, HR, Environment and Quality

Required Experience and Skills:

oSugar Milling or refinery experience and/or maintenance background (or a food processing industry background)

oCurrent drivers licence

oTrade qualifications as an Engineering Tradesperson (Electrical), and the holder maintain the statutory requirements necessary to work as a licensed electrician

oExperience in diagnostic and repair skills

oComputer literacy/knowledge and knowledge/experience of using Computerised Maintenance Management System
