THE ROLE

As a Business Account Manager within our LPG Business Sales team at Origin Energy, you'll be at the forefront of driving our strategic objectives to achieve market share growth and foster a customer-centric culture. Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of accounts, overseeing installations, identifying growth opportunities, and nurturing long-term relationships with key stakeholders. This role is critical to the success of our business unit, as you'll play a key role in shaping our market presence and driving sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • To achieve growth in new business sales of LPG and related portfolio products and services to customers in the allocated territory.
  • Develop a Sales Pipeline through building prospect lists and intensive cold calling.
  • Prepare Finance Approval’s and all other processes relevant to implementation  and onboarding of new accounts.
  • Facilitate the timely delivery & service of all new customers by liaising with internal external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the current energy market with respect to competitor’s clients, pricing and contract status, utilising this knowledge to enhance Origin Energy profitability and growth.
  • Comply with Origin HS & E, codes of practice, standards, policies and operating procedures.

  • Evidence of Successful Field Cold Calling experience & bouncebackability.
  • Eagerness to build and nurture a strong Sales Pipeline while maintaining strong relationships with existing client base
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to have difficult conversations and negotiate complex contracts
  • Innovative mindset to drive positive change
  • Strategic thinking aligned with business objectives
  • Preparation and delivery of written, oral, and electronic sales presentations to all levels of management.
  • Proven sales record and ability to add value in the selling process.
