Our Lawyers prepare matters for and attend PIPA pre-litigation conferences, identify legal trends, and provide strategic business solutions.

What you’ll do
Reporting to the Manager, Legal Injury, your key responsibilities will include:
Provide legal advice to the Suncorp Group, particularly personal injury liability personnel, ensuring protection of the Group's interests and compliance with the Risk Appetite statementAdvise on and attend PIPA pre-litigation conferences, facilitating effective resolution strategiesPartner with the business to simplify complex legal issues and provide easily understandable conceptsActively promote a ‘one team’ approach across the Legal & Secretariat community, fostering collaboration and cohesionChampion the use of the Risk Appetite Statement to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectivesContribute to process improvement initiatives that lead to operational efficiencies and reduction in claims costs, enhancing profitability and financial stabilityWhat you’ll bring
Tertiary qualifications in Law (Mandatory)Current Practising Certificate (or eligibility) (Mandatory)Admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in any Australian Court5+ years of relevant legal experienceExperience in insurance or Personal InjuryExperience in the financial services industry, ideally insuranceExperience providing legal advice for a listed companyWhat we can offer
