Job Description
- Guiding teams on the use of Scrum practices and values to delight customers
- Facilitating Scrum events as needed
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency
- Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog
- Addressing team dynamics, ensuring a good relationship between the team and product owner as well as others outside the team
- Removing impediments to the team's progress to its sprint commitments
- Ensuring the team is fully functional and productive
- Enabling close cooperation across all roles and functions
The Successful Applicant
A successful Scrum Master should have:
- A strong understanding of the Scrum framework, including its roles, events, and artefacts
- Excellent knowledge of agile methodologies
- Strong facilitation, communication and conflict resolution skills
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field
- Scrum Master certification
- Proven leadership abilities and a team player attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
