About the opportunity

Newly created role to support the growth of our business.

As part of the Australia Sector’s Communication Function, you will report to the Communications Director and will be pivotal in driving and developing multi-channel experiences, engaging and growing QinetiQ’s audience.

Key responsibilities will include, but will not limited to:

  • Leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive content program aligned with the Australia Sector’s Communications Strategy
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams across the Australia Sector to ideate, write, edit and produce content for various channels that is compelling, engaging, on-brand and audience focussed.
  • Leading the creative direction, conception and execution of engaging, on-brand and audience focussed content including graphic design, still photography, video, and short and long-form written content for internal and external communications purposes including events and exhibitions, from initial brief through to completion
  • Providing strategic direction, innovative thinking and a creative mindset to storytelling through content formats.
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders on content briefs, feedback and approvals, ensuring the clients are well informed and educated along the way
  • Using analytics to report on content effectiveness, drawing insights to inform future content

In terms of location, the role can be based in Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide or Brisbane.

About You

  • Tertiary qualified in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implemented successful content strategies that drive business and strategy outcomes
  • A creative and agile thinker with the ability to try innovative things and constantly review for continuous improvement
  • Expertise in a wide range of digital platforms and content formats
  • Availability to travel domestically on a regular basis.

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance.
