About the Opportunity
An opportunity has become available for an experienced multi-disciplined Scientist to join the dynamic Hospital Laboratory team. The Hospital laboratories are well equipped, operated by highly competent, multi-skilled staff and are centrally located.
Participation in after-hours, weekend and public holiday shifts is a requirement of the position.
To be considered for this position applicants should demonstrate:
- relevant qualifications and experience working in a diagnostic pathology laboratory;
- a minimum of two years' experience in Haematology and Biochemistry is desirable;
- experience in Transfusion and Blood Film Morphology will be highly regarded;
- willingness and flexibility to work across multiple sites and a range of shifts over 24 hours/7 days a week;
- a sound working knowledge and experience in working in a quality controlled environment and an understanding of NATA accreditation requirements;
- commitment to a high degree of customer service and service standards;
- flexibility to meet the needs of a dynamic and changing work environment;
- ability to work in and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team;
- a current Australian driver's license will be required for this position;
- An AIMS-accredited qualification or equivalent, with a background in Medical Pathology is a requirement for this position; and
- You will be required to receive the COVID 19 vaccination including booster in order to perform this role and provide copy of certificate.
