About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure/ Data Platform Project Manager to lead and deliver data-driven projects using Microsoft Azure technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong project management expertise, a deep understanding of Azure data services, and the ability to manage clients' cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives effectively.

Key Responsibilities:Project Planning and Execution:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Ensure alignment with business objectives and stakeholders' requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and address risks or delays effectively.
Data Platform Management:
  • Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of Azure data solutions.
  • Manage Azure resources such as Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database.
  • Ensure data platform performance, scalability, and security.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and developers to define project requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
Risk and Compliance Management:
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and industry regulations.
  • Manage project audits and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and communication.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members.
  • Ensure resources are allocated efficiently to meet project objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5+ years of project management experience in IT or data-focused projects.
  • Proven expertise with Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics).
  • Experience managing end-to-end data platform projects, including migrations and integrations.
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps and related project management tools.
  • Familiarity with data modelling, ETL processes, and cloud architecture.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
