Therefore, the role responsibilities below will have some flexibility to ensure the Kids Director is effectively utilising their spiritual gifts and leadership strengths. In the case that an applicant has theological qualifications and pastoral gifting, this role may be redefined as a 3-day/week Kid’s Pastor. Position Responsibilities: General Staff Duties Attend and contribute to all relevant leadership team meetings, service planning meetings and prayer meetings. Contribute to planning and execution of Whitehill’s services and events as required Collaborate with staff team in the development and implementation of leadership and discipleship pathway. Be engaged in any leadership training and conferences as made by available the Lead Pastor Kids Ministries Develop and implement an effective ministry strategy for the discipleship of children aged 0-12. Oversee the development, training, rostering and nurture of kids’ ministry leaders. Ensure the Sunday Kids’ Church includes the following: The Gospel is clearly and regularly communicated in an age-appropriate way with opportunities for kids to respond. Well-developed discipleship strategies and materials that are biblical, relevant and age-appropriate. Child Safe compliant. Fun, safe and positive programs that are well-planned, resourced and executed at an high standard. Appoint and mentor volunteer team leaders for mid-week ministry programs (Playgroup, Mainly Music, FriPlay Kids) Recognise and celebrate key discipleship milestones for children (child dedications, pre-school blessings, baptism etc.) Encourage the participation of children in major church events and projects. Key Competencies: Able to train and equip leaders for ministry Able to create, innovate and implement ministry strategies Able to organise teams to accomplish goals Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to relate to all people Strong technology and administration skills Ability to innovate and pioneer new initiatives We are hoping for the successful candidate to commence as soon as possible.
