Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position, based in the Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane office:
Principal Plant and Equipment Valuer
What can you expect?
Marsh Valuation Services are specialists in valuations of property, infrastructure, plant and equipment assets throughout the Pacific Region. We have a strong focus on financial reporting and insurance valuations with no reliance on bank panels or mortgage valuations.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Plant and Equipment Valuer to join our team. We are focused on attracting the right person for our business so where you are located is not critical - we have a valuation team in most Australian States.
The role will see you be an important member of the valuations team while undertaking valuations nationally for a range of purposes. The role would suit a valuer wanting the autonomy to carry out all facets of valuations including client management, inspections, calculations and reporting whilst also assisting in attracting new clients. This role would suit an organised, driven and growth focused individual looking to maximise their valuation capabilities and get exposure to a broad range of industries and clients.
This is an opportunity to grow your career with the support of a major global organisation.
What is in it for you?
Professional and inclusive environment outside of the traditional property and valuation companies
Growth focused team within major global organisation
Not all desk based work – great mix of on site inspections and desk based valuation work
Work on valuations for some of Australia's leading entities across a diverse range of industries
Great team environment with energetic and supportive colleagues
High level of job security with no reliance on bank panels or mortgage valuations and a strong pipeline of work
Access to valuation professionals throughout the Pacific region through our collaborative national operating model
Flexible work arrangements
A strong belief that it is a fundamental right that every Marsh employee feels comfortable bringing your whole self to work
We will count on you to:
Apply your advanced knowledge to undertake valuations of varying types of assets for differing purposes
Work across multiple projects to meet deadlines while managing your time effectively
Have the ability to travel intrastate and nationally for key client commitments
Demonstrate key client relationship management
Provide expert advice to clients in developing and adjusting project approaches, methodology, and tools to guide valuation programs and initiatives
Show excellent time management, logistic and organisational skills
Develop and execute strategies to expand successful business/working relationships with clients to grow the portfolio
Work as part of a team in a fast paced and dynamic environment
We would like you to have:
AAPI, ASA or RICS qualification
8+ years’ experience in performing valuations
Experience with insurance and/or financial reporting valuations looked upon favourably
Growth focused outlook
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Logical and analytical mindset
Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
Availability to travel nationally
