Research Development Support Officer

The Office for Research delivers professional research support services with functions spanning key infrastructure and facilities, grants, development, ethics and integrity, policy, performance and reporting. The Research Development Support Officer will perform operational and administrative functions involved in the preparation of the University's ARC Centre of Excellence applications. Working with the research teams, responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on the achievement of milestones; processing financial transactions and monitoring budgets, maintaining communication channels including website and LinkedIn sites and compiling and editing documentation required for the development of applications. This position presents an excellent opportunity to gain experience in supporting the development of major research funding applications and seeing research development in action.
About you
The successful candidate will hold a degree with subsequent, relevant experience. A PhD qualification is desirable but not essential.
You will also have:
- Experience in research administration or support, which is likely to include contributing to the management of research projects, supporting the development of funding applications along with an understanding of the associated compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with the research funding landscape, including major funding bodies and their application process.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports, correspondence and contribute to the writing and editing of grant applications.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with researchers, administrative staff, and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What we can offer
This is a fixed term (available until 31/12/), full-time or part-time (0.6 FTE) position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Nathan campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full-time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 6 in the range $87, - $93, per annum, plus 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $, - $, per annum.
