Additional Information:
• These positions are 60hrs/fortnight (Part-time) or 76hr/fortnight (Full-time).
• The internal job title for this role is IKEA Food Co-worker.
• As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts ranging from 9am to 9:30pm. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).

RECRUITMENT PROCESS
• If your application is successful, you may be invited to complete a video interview as part of the recruitment process.
• If your application is progressed, you will be invited to attend an in-person Group Assessment Centre on Tuesday 9 July 2024.
• If you are successful for this role, you will be required to attend a 2-day Welcome induction Monday 22 July and Tuesday 23 July 9am-5pm.
• If you are successful, your shifts will commence from Monday 22 July 2024.

About this work area

As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Contributing to the IKEA brand position by acting as a brand ambassador for IKEA and IKEA Retail Food.
• Contributing to continuous improvement by seeking and acting upon customer feedback.
• Providing a friendly retail checkout experience by processing payments swiftly and accurately.
• Following food handling, health, safety, hygiene and sanitation regulations and strict guidelines.
• Maintaining the restaurant including merchandising and price communication.
• Ensuring a positive customer experience by maintaining a clean and safe dining area.
• Using your IKEA Food knowledge to exceed customer expectations, confidently answering their questions so they can make informed purchase decisions.
• Processing dishes and maintaining the washing up area and machines whilst supporting and maintaining the cleanliness of the customer restaurant.

• Passionate, committed, and have a love for food in its quality and presentation.
• High customer-centric approach as you will focus on ensuring our customers have a positive dining experience.
• Experienced with working in a fast paced, hands-on environment. Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded.
• Capability of safely carrying out repetitive movements such as lifting, manual handling, product rotation, stacking, unpacking and operating manual pallet jacks.
• An energetic and team-focused approach as this department can become extremely busy.
• Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety.
