Cloud Solution Architect (Azure) - Daily Rate Contract - 6 months - Sydney

Cloud Solution Architect (Azure) to design and implement Azure-based solutions to create scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures, ensuring smooth integration and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Architecture: Architect Azure cloud solutions, provide detailed designs, and offer cost estimations.
  • Cloud Strategy: Align solutions with the organization’s cloud strategy and IT roadmap.
  • Implementation & Integration: Oversee cloud solution implementation and integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure solutions meet security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Cost Optimization: Design cost-efficient solutions and implement monitoring tools to manage cloud spending.
  • Documentation: Produce design documentation and technical artefacts for stakeholders.

Essential Experience:

  • 6+ years in IT architecture with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Proven experience leading cloud migrations or large-scale cloud implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, security, and networking.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management processes.
  • Key skills required for upcoming roadmap items:
    • Azure Files and Azure File Sync service.
    • Azure Landing Zones design creation.
    • Azure Workloads Modernisation (IaaS to PaaS).
    • Cloud Printing Solutions.
    • Backup policies and retention. (Commvault backup).
