Who we’re looking for:

This Security Engineer role will offer the opportunity to explore a wide range of most popular enterprise technology, with a broad and deep involvement in upholding the best security posture across the entire organisation for a growing listed company based in Sydney. The successful candidate will involve with advisory, architecture design and lead the implementation of the security solutions with collaboration of various technology stakeholders. To be successful in the role, candidate should have a full stack developer background with security experience in cloud architecture is highly preferable.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning the design, test and go-live technical aspects for the on-prem and cloud infrastructure to ensure delivery of security solutions
  • Perform vulnerability assessment, penetration tests, cyber security auditing and lead the implementation in mitigating security risks
  • Review systems security posture with implementation and customizing security solutions to resolve security issue
  • Collaborating with cross-functional project teams to scope, set timelines, create technical solutions and support successful project delivery
  • Security hardening on IT assets including on-prem systems and cloud infrastructure
  • Handle security incidents and investigation along with mitigation
  • Deployment and integration of identity access management system and configuration
  • Assurance of security patching to IT assets within the set intervals
  • Assist with troubleshooting and provide resolution on any security related issues with other technology owners
  • Responsible for system resilience includes BCP/DR
  • Ensure data transmission and storage are met with the encryption standards
  • Adherence to security best practice for technology implementation

Requirements

  • Have good experience in security deployment or supporting security solutions with internal technology owners in particular to cloud technology
  • Familiarity with ISO27001 and OWSAP standards
  • Sound knowledge in majority of popular Operating Systems and Cloud solutions
  • Demonstrate the ability to be proactive and work with a sense of urgency with a constant desire to learn plus a “can-do” attitude
  • An independent person with good troubleshooting skills who enjoy taking challenge till resolution
  • Have excellent communication and collaboration skills and be an accountable member of the team
