About the role:
 

We are looking for an experienced Draftsperson who wants to join a vibrant business with a solid work culture that is committed to constructing top-notch homes. The role will be suitable for someone who is self-driven, diligent, and detail oriented. The primary goals of the Sales Draftsperson is to produce accurate drawings to the client’s expectations and provide appropriate technical advice and support to key areas of the business.
 

Reporting to the Drafting Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Using master plans, produce precise drawings at every Pre-Tender stage, and oversee the creation of Digital Sales Plans
  • Ensuring sales documentation complies with Rawson’s company guidelines.
  • Responsible for liaising with Council/certifiers/developers/ external contractors where required. 
  • Provide compliance checks (DA and CDC) and create final summaries with Tender notes to be sent to Sales estimating
  • Ensure plans meet DCP, LEP, CDC, Estate requirements and NCC requirements
  • Provide assistance and advice to Sales consultants, Drafts people, PCAs and Sales Estimating
  • Provide workflow updates to the Drafting Manager so that updates are notified and tasks are completed by the deadline.
  • Assist the sales, Drafting, structural engineers, estimating, and construction teams with technical support and assistance.
  • Maintaining knowledge of relevant building codes for compliance with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code of Australia.

To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • 1-2 years of Residential construction, preferably detached home building, and medium-density
  • Experience in multiple areas of the Operations phase of Residential Construction.
  • Highly knowledgeable of NCC and Australian Standards requirements
  • The ability to communicate professionally, prioritise and meet deadlines; and
  • Implement a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
  • Strong understanding of WHS requirements and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to identify process improvement initiatives
