Recently Dontek became part of the Reece Group and with continued focus on growth, we are now seeking to add a new Firmware Engineer to the team.

About the Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Electronic Engineer to help us design, develop and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++. You’ll be writing and implementing software solutions to address challenges for our lifestyle automation control products. This position will see you collaborating with a range of stakeholders within Dontek including research and development, sales and service. You will be an active member for new in house projects from initial ideas to final conception as well as maintain firmware once in the market.

It is imperative that you keep abreast of advancements in technology, bring innovative ideas as well work collaboratively within the team.

About you

Here are some of the skills and experience that aligns with our role:

• Demonstrated experience in embedded firmware and C/C+ programming, along with experience working with version control such as Git
• Experience with Espressif MCU's and Atmel/ST ARM MCU's.
• Experience with interfacing to protocols such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Modbus RS485 etc.
• Development experience with RTOS.
• Working knowledge of AWS IOT Cloud Services.
• Ability to follow hardware schematics and implement robust firmware.
• Ability to write and review engineering documentation.
