About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Shipping Controller to join us on a fixed-term contract for 15 months (parental leave cover).

Reporting to the Group Shipping Operations Team Leader, the Shipping Controller is responsible for managing local and import purchase orders and ensuring that all service providers and freight forwarders maintain effective communication with Trade Partners and SRG.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Ensuring all stock order management is executed accurate and applied to shipping movement activities.
  • Delivering all shipping controller operations adhering to set processes and standards, applying consistent planning practices to ensure SLA’s are met, and reporting on all stock movement events.
  • Acting as a principal liaison for Super Retail Group teams, vendors, trade partners, and relevant transport providers for all stock movements, incidents, issues and variances to order.

We have a hybrid work model (Tuesday as anchor day) but we would require the successful candidate to work at our office in Strathpine on a daily basis during the induction and training period (approximately for 3 weeks depending on their learning pace).

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong administration and analytical skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced environment that involves high volume processing
  • Proven ability to achieve targets within tight timeframes
  • Desirable: Import Management/Freight Forwarding experience with relevant Legislative knowledge on these areas

Your strong customer service skills and professionalism as well as well-developed verbal and written communication skills will be key to this role.
