About the Role
  • Bring Council’s new Climate Emergency Plan to life across Council and in the community Embed circular economy principles into Council’s practices and processes
  • Lead a team working with the community to increase climate resilience and a circular economy
  • Provide advice and strategic direction to Council on climate, circular economy and other sustainability related issues
  • Collaborate closely with teams across Council to create great climate and circular economy outcomes

Skills & Experience
  • Tertiary education in climate, sustainability or related fields and/or substantial experience in these areas
  • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in climate action and resilience, circular economy and environmental issues as they relate to local government and the community
  • Experience leading a team or major projects, including program development, delivery and providing strategic direction
  • Ability to co-ordinate and manage formal and informal teams with multi-disciplinary skills and expertise to achieve great outcomes
