Clough is delivering the engineering, procurement and construction for the Waitsia Gas Project Stage 2 development, near Dongara, Western Australia. The Waitsia Stage 2 project includes a new 250 TJ/day gas processing plant with a 20-year life-cycle that will convey gas via the nearby Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.


Rewarding opportunities exist for experienced Instrument Technicians to join the project team working on a 20&8 roster (bus-in/bus-out from Perth, or DIDO from Dongara).

Who you are

Your role will include:

Commissioning and fault-finding diagnostic’s on equipment which includes but is not limited to:

Distributed Control System (DCS) & Safety Instrumented System (SIS) – Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) Power Distribution Control System (PDCS) – Switching and control equipment, motor, alternators, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPSs Specialised vendor equipment i.e. analytical product quality, metering and condition monitoring equipment Fire and gas detection systems (F&G) Field instrumentation – Analysers, transmitters, gauges, flow measurement devices, control valves, Safety Valves, actuators relays, solenoids, pneumatic equipment, and ignition systems ICSS marshalling cabinets, junction boxes and associated wiring. Commissioning of hazardous area rated equipment. Documentation of instrumentation testing activities, check-sheets, drawing revisions, specifications, cause and effects and engineering/process changes. To carry out other duties as and when required at the direction of supervisor or lead. Interface closely with construction and vendor personnel ensuring that activities are undertaken in a safe manner. Knowledge of Loop Testing and a Completions/Commissioning electronic database is desirable

Electrical Licence WA Construction White/Blue Card Cert IV Instrumentation UETTDRRF06B - Perform rescue from a live LV panel HLTAID001 Provide Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Installation and Maintenance of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) Apply First Aid Current Australian “C” Class Driver’s Licence (Desired) Enter and Work in Confined Space (Desired) Work Safely at Heights (Desired)
