Responsible for

Coordinate projects with heritage staff and clients as directed by the Manager. Participating with, and assisting the Manager in providing training for, cultural heritage staff. Liaison with clients to deliver high quality expert advice on a range of heritage and native title issues. Assisting in preparing proposals and follow-up for projects related to cultural heritage, and communicating with potential clients. Lead and coordinate in fieldwork for duty of care assessments and larger projects. Liaise, coordinate and negotiate with Traditional Owner groups as needed. Maintain your professional standing by updating personal training and accreditations associated with job description. Comply with business and client workplace health and safety systems. Maintain and use vehicle and equipment in accordance with business policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Formal degree studies in archaeology / anthropology or equivalent with Honours. 5 to 10 years of industry experience. Practical understanding of relevant state and commonwealth legislation as it pertains to cultural heritage permits and licensing. Excellent knowledge and experience in the recording of heritage places through a range of techniques and technologies. Intermediate to advanced understanding of GIS software including QGIS and/or ArcGIS. First aid certificate Ability to be able to read and interpret project scopes of work and assist in proposal formations and submissions to clients. Experience in conducting cultural heritage investigations. Demonstrated ability to coordinate a small project team in a service delivery environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills which promote and sustain positive relationships with team members and clients. Experience in giving practical and compliant advice to clients. Excellent verbal and written communication. Organised and able to meet deadlines. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Class C Drivers License Physically and mentally fit and capable of extensive field works as required with no limitations. nrmjobs.com.au/job/20020889
