THE OPPORTUNITY: 

Reporting into the NPI Supervisor, the primary purpose of the role is to provide preventative and reactive maintenance, servicing, repairs, and installation of all plumbing systems primarily associated with non-process infrastructure.

This is a permanent position, with an 8/6 roster based at our Pilgangoora Operation.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance, servicing, repairs, and installation of all plumbing systems, including Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants, Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), site buildings and camp buildings primarily associated with non-process infrastructure.
  • Manage contractor performance to the required standards and specifications for the work being completed.
  • Conduct works and maintain performance to ensure that all work is completed to the correct standard.
  • Assess and recommend plant, tool, equipment, and material initiatives with a focus on cost effective solutions and operational improvements.
  • Supervise contractors as required including but not limited to, Pre-starts, SWP's, hazard reports, toolboxes.
  • Execute maintenance project work associated with all non-processing infrastructure i.e. camp accommodation, bore/pumps associated with the bore fields and associated infrastructure.
  • Ensure all work orders are completed properly to a consistent high quality in PRONTO.
  • Ensure work areas under your control undergo daily documented safety inspections and where hazards are identified ensure they are appropriately managed.
  • Ensure risk management practices are effectively and consistently applied for all work activities.      
  • Ensure your own safety and health at work and that of your work mates and in respect to safety always follow instructions given by your employer.
  • Become familiar with and comply to safety policies and procedures.
  • Report all hazards and incidents on occurrence and never walk past an unsafe act or condition.
  • Participate with your work teams to improve and sustain a positive safety culture across the organisation.

 ABOUT YOU:

  • WA C class driver’s license.
  • Trade Certificate in Plumbing, Gas Fitting and Drainage.
  • Backflow testing certificate (CPCWT4022A)

DESIRABLE:

  • Current proficiency in Providing First Aid.
  • Certificate III in Water Industry Operations is desirable.
  • High Risk licences highly desirable (Forklift, Hiab, Confined space).
  • HR / MR licence
  • PRONTO experience.
  • Previous Wastewater & Reverse Osmosis experience in a Mining environment.
  • Previous experience in maintaining water services & supply.
  • Knowledge in dewatering infrastructure maintenance and operation.
