Job Description

Key Responsibilities
* Develop, monitor and pursue opportunity pipeline
* Develop and build relationships with Key Stakeholders
* Develop pre-contract commercial strategies
* Oversee the development of pre-construction documents, including plans and specifications.
* Managing the Tender / Bid process
* Coordinate the preparation of programs and methodologies for tender submissions/EOI's/capability statements and ECI's
* Collaborating with the construction team and Clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
* Coordinate all required Tender / Bid documentation.
* Coordinate take-offs and cost breakdowns, and preparing detailed estimates based on project scopes.
* Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and maintain strong relationships.
* Maintaining a thorough knowledge of standards and specifications.
* Producing contract documentation as required.
* Collaborating with Project Managers regarding cost variances and implementing improvements from completed project learnings.
* Reviewing and implementing procedural and policy improvements within the organisation

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Minimum 5+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry
* High level pre-construction, tender response, and project management ability/experience.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills to various senior level stakeholders.
* Knowledge of applicable construction regulations, codes, and standards.
* Ability to analyse construction drawings and specifications.
* Ability to interpret and apply contractual requirements.
* Knowledge of construction estimating, budgeting, and scheduling techniques.
* Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
* Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
* Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying or another relevant discipline
* Strong negotiation skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
