Overview:

As a critical member of our Engineering team, you will take an active part in analysing, planning and modifying the existing technologies, materials and/or processes to apply them in the delivery of engineering projects. The work schedule will involve combined office and onsite work. You will support the company in the production and modification of custom-built forklifts.

Key Focus & Responsibilities

·       Applied and practical application of engineering principles.

·       Analyses and modifies new and existing automation devices and applies them in

·       the implementation of engineering projects.

·       Solve various technical problems in the design, and modifying phases of the

·       unique forklift project.

·       Design unique automation devices to achieve specific performance requirements

·       for different projects.

Duties :

  • Research, design, modify, test and practical delivery of engineering projects including forklifts.
  • Identify and resolve issues and implement improvements for the forklifts.
  • Development and implementation of production processes from raw material receipt, through to finished product.
  • Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and distribution of all engineering project documents, such as drawings, material specifications and other related documents.
  • Providing advice on technological modifications involving the use of different materials, equipment or processes to supervisors and project staff.
  • Assist the project team in the scheduling and tracking of materials to make sure all the resource in the project is allocated properly.
  • Material preparation including weighing, mixing and ordering, stocking tracking of components and providing reports to the project team.
  • Measure, test and improve materials, processes or systems related to specific engineering specifications, performance and/or functionality.
  • Use established project scope requirements to estimate and set individual project budgets and monitor all expenses against actual costs.
  • Ensure that the automation devices design, manufacturing, and installation processes meet health and safety requirements and environmental legislation.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
  • Actively monitoring work practices to ensure adherence to correct standards and procedures for safety and environmental performance.

Technical Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification. (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).

In addition, the role requires minimum two years of relevant experience and/or on-the-job training.
