As our team expands, we are recruiting a qualified Plumber to join our Maintenance and Facilities team to work full-time at Adelaide Oval. The plumber will maintain the building's plumbing, gas systems, and equipment for the Adelaide Oval and associated venues.

Role Requirements:

  • Please note that, in line with Adelaide Oval's business operations, out-of-hours work will be a requirement of this role. This includes weekend work and working on Major Event Days at Adelaide Oval.
  • A valid National Police Check and Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain successfully).
  • A current driver's license.
  • Completion and passing of a pre-employment medical for the successful candidate.

What you'll be working on:

  • Delivering day-to-day plumbing requirements, including supporting minor capital work projects.
  • Accurately costing/quoting of jobs within budget requirements.
  • Monitor that all plumbing stock and equipment is maintained at adequate levels
  • Oversee the testing of all plumbing and gas, with relevant records kept as required.
  • Undertaking and coordinating relevant testing and maintenance of all plumbing systems.
  • Ensuring all relevant duties are completed in conjunction with the timelines set for any upcoming event.
  • Attend to repairs and maintenance of all systems and related equipment.
  • Perform general and emergency plumbing and gas repairs/maintenance as required.
  • Supporting the Maintenance & Facility Team with maintenance projects from start to finish where required.

What you'll bring:

  • Plumbing Trade qualification.
  • Minimum three years experience, preferably in a multi-site or stadium environment.
  • Practical experience in contractor management and planned preventative maintenance works.
  • Exceptional time management skills and working to a schedule.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while demonstrating drive and initiative.
  • Effective communication skills and team player.
  • Good physical fitness and strength.
  • Strong work ethic and excellent personal presentation.
  • Clean workspace presentation upon completion of tasks.
  • Strong focus on WHS.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to respond quickly to change.
  • A willingness to assist in other areas as required.
  • General capability in using Microsoft Office and other software.
