Role Overview:

Verve Partners are seeking a skilled Draftsman with a strong background in SolidWorks to join Magnattack™ Global. The successful candidate will produce high-quality, intricate models and detailed technical drawings, working on-site with the manufacturing team to support fabricators in delivering top-quality components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilise SolidWorks: Create precise and detailed 2D and 3D models and drawings for welding manufacturing projects.
• Collaborate with Operations Team: Understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings and plans.
• Part Number Management: Maintain and organize part numbers using effective archiving systems for easy access and efficient inventory management.
• Stock Taking: Conduct regular stock taking to monitor inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and recommend solutions to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Compliance: Ensure all drawings and documents comply with industry standards and company policies.
• Project Participation: Attend project meetings, providing insights and feedback to improve design efficiency and product quality.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in CAD design and welding manufacturing to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience as a Draftsman with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in SolidWorks.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of welding manufacturing processes and mechanical design principles.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage part numbers and conduct stock taking efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to accuracy in all aspects of design and documentation.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues across departments.
• Education: Relevant degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field. Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM (Product Data Management) is preferred.
