With the continued growth of our services in our South-West and South-East Sydney region, we are looking for passionate and highly motivated Disability Support Workers to add value to our team. There are part-time and casual opportunities available within our Community services and Residential services teams, centred around creating an inclusive world built on trust, respect and equality, where people with disability live the life they choose.

The Opportunity

Community Services

Our Community services team are located in both South-West Sydney (Campbelltown and Oran Park) and South-East Sydney (Miranda) and are looking for vibrant individuals who have a passion for engaging in a range of activities with our participants including arts & crafts, sporting activities, cooking programs, school leaver employment supports as well as after school vacation care.

These shifts will be on a casual basis and run primarily in the afternoons to late evening with shifts varying between 2 to 6 hours during the school term. Vacation care runs during the school holidays between 9am to 4pm.

Residential Services

Our Residential services operate across 13 homes within the Sydney region. We are currently hiring casual and part-time Support Workers to work across both South-West Sydney (Bass Hill, Blair Athol, Chester Hill, Claymore, Kentlyn, Mt Annan and Ruse) as well as South-East Sydney (Miranda, Barden Ridge, Caringbah, Gymea, Peakhurst).

These shifts operate over a 24/7 basis, with flexibility and availability to work a range of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and overnights. There is a strong focus on building independent living skills by supporting our participants in their own home as well as increasing their social connections through community involvement.

About you

  • Genuine desire to provide person-centred care for people with disability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven computer skills.
  • Initiative and drive to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Flexible availability and willingness to work across the Sydney region.
  • Ideally, you will bring a wealth of knowledge and/or experience in a similar role.

For this position, the part-time hourly rate is between $33.41 and $36.46, the casual rate is between $41.76 and $45.58 (plus superannuation) depending on relevant experience and qualification.

If you are successful for the role, you will be required to attend a paid training program commencing 28 October 2024 until 8 November 2024.
